Peanut Butter Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats are a decadent twist on the classic. Combining the rich flavors of semi-sweet and white chocolate with creamy peanut butter, these treats offer a satisfying crunch and a creamy finish. Perfect for snacking or as a sweet gift, these treats are easy to make and even easier to devour. With a stunning chocolate swirl on top, they’re as delightful to look at as they are to taste!


Ingredients -

  • 4 cups puffed rice

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped semi-sweet chocolate (200 gr), reserve 1 tablespoon (or 10 gr) for garnish

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate (200 gr)

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter, divided into 2 (1/4 cup each)


Instructions -

  1. Add puffed rice to a large mixing bowl.

  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals to avoid burning. Pour over puffed rice. Add honey and 1/4 cup peanut butter. If the peanut butter is not liquid, microwave it for 30 seconds to make it easier to mix. This step helps blend the ingredients smoothly.

  3. Use a silicone spatula to mix until everything is fully combined.

  4. Pour the mixture into a 9x9 inch (23x23 cm) pan and flatten evenly. Freeze for 15-20 minutes or until very firm.

  5. Prepare the topping: Melt white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Add 1/4 cup peanut butter and mix well. If needed, microwave the peanut butter again to ensure it’s liquid.

  6. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the puffed rice layer and flatten evenly.

  7. Melt the reserved chocolate and transfer to a piping bag. Draw vertical lines about 1/4-1/2 inch apart on top.

  8. Use a toothpick to drag the topping from one end to another, then in the opposite direction, creating a marbled effect. Clean the toothpick between passes for better results.

  9. Freeze for 20 minutes or until very firm. Cut into squares and enjoy!
